  • You forget 90% of all of your dreams
  • Blind people are also capable of dreaming
  • EVERYBODY dreams
  • In our dreams, we only see faces that we know
  • Not all dreams are in colour, some are in black and white
  • Dreams can be very symbolic
  • The most common emotion of all dreams is anxiety.
  • You can have 4 to 7 dreams in one night, but normally you only remember 1 or 2 of them
  • You don’t have to be human in order to dream… animals can dream also
  • When we dream, our body is basically paralysed by a mechanism in the brain to prevent movements that happen in the dream, which causes the body to move.
  • Our mind interprets the external stimuli that bombard our senses when we are asleep and make them part of our dreams
  • Men and women dream differently
  • Between 18% and 38% of people have experienced at least one precognitive dream and 70% have experienced deja vu

I don’t know about you, but I am finding these facts to be very interesting and never actually realised what our minds were capable of.

Millennials VS Gen X

Hey everyone

Today I have decided to to talk to you about generations, specifically Millennials and Gen X. Millennials are the people who are born between the years of 1981 and 2000, Gen X people are born between the years of 1961 and 1980.

There are a lot of differences between these two generations. This is what the Gen X people are like in the workplace;

  • They value work life balance
  • They need independence
  • They prefer task based work
  • They view promotions as earned rewards
  • They see technology as a learned skill

This is what the Millennials are like in the workplace;

  • They believe in civic duty
  • They are team players
  • They need regular feedback
  • They see managers as equals
  • They view technology as integral

There are many different ways to manage these two generations. For Gen X people, the way you can manage them is;

  • Let them focus on task based projects
  • Let them have a life when they are not at work.
  • Give them new technology
  • Let them work independently
  • Speak to them directly and give them purpose
  • Encourage them embrace their entrepreneurial skills

The way to manage Millennials are;

  • Let them make a difference in the world
  • Put them in a team setting
  • Listen to their ideas and use them
  • Allow them to work hard and then leave work on time
  • Give regular feedback
  • Encourage them to be creative

These are all of the basic differences between Millennials and Gen X people.

I am a Gen X person because I was born in 1999. What generation are you guys from ?

My Life In A Bubble

If my life were a bubble, I would be living in the country and dancing all the time. It would be filled with all of my memories and my favourite things. I would be sitting down in my beautiful green garden meditating and practicing Reiki with all of the plants and flowers around me.

If my life were a bubble, it would be peaceful all the time and I would have no worries because it would be a place just for me to breathe and do all the things I love to do. My bubble is my safe haven.

I would be floating around in the sky and looking down at all of my friends and family, making sure they are staying safe and happy.

My life would be constantly changing and I would be visiting new and exciting places, because when your life is in a bubble… anything can happen, you are in charge of what happens, and I would let my imagination run free.

South Africa

Hey everyone

Today I want to make a post about this beautiful country that we live in.

Yes there have been some bad things that have happened in South Africa such as robberies, pollution etc.

I feel like all the bad things have started to over shadow the good things and I would just like to remind you all of the good things about this country.

The photo that I have attached to this post is from when my mom, my dad, my nana and I went to the Kruger National Park. That was the first time I had been to the Kruger and I loved every minute of it. Seeing the big five and all the birds and other animals was just incredible and I cannot wait to go back. Just by looking at this picture you can see that this is what South Africa is all about. It is about the wildlife and the flowers and greenery.

Every now and then, take a moment and think about all the things you love about South Africa.

First You Dream … Then You Do

Hey everyone

I hope you had a great Monday, I know I did 🙂

Todays post is all about personal growth. When I was in school I was very shy and I battled with the school work, especially when it came to exams and so I was a bit worried about what the future would look like. Throughout the years there have been things that have happened in my life that have made me a lot stronger and more independent. The person that I am today is way more wiser and stronger than the person that I was in primary school and high school.

I haven’t only grown within my work abilities, I have also become better in social situations, I am not as shy as I used to be. I am looking forward to future growth and life lessons I still have to learn.

How much personal growth have you had ?

There Is No Place Like Home

Hey everyone

During this lockdown most of us have been working from home, for some people who already work from home they will already have a home office set up and the changes are not as big, it is just another day in the office, but for other people this is a huge change and if you haven’t worked from home before, it can be a bit difficult as it takes a lot of discipline.

Coming from a household where my parents have worked from home for years, I know that it takes a lot of self discipline and that it is very difficult at times because of the TV, wanting to just chill in the bedroom and work in the lounge. I respect them so much because of that and because they been so strong with their discipline.

We have all had to make changes in our daily lives through this lockdown and I think we all deserve a pat on the back for all that we have accomplished in the situation we are in.

Well done guys.

My Travel Bucket List

Hey everyone

I hope you are well.

Being in this lockdown has made me wonder about what my travel bucket list would be like, so here it goes;

  • Thailand
  • Mauritius
  • France
  • Italy
  • Cape Town
  • America
  • New Zealand

My top 3 travel places are Mauritius because it is so beautiful there, my parents went there last year and when they showed me pictures of everything they did, I thought it looked so beautiful. The second is Cape Town, mainly because locally I haven’t been there before and I would really love to explore all that South Africa has to offer. Last but not least is my Top 3 is Thailand mainly because of all the culture and beauty. My brother told me that all they eat in Thailand is rice, but I don’t think so because even we get Thai food in Joburg, so I am thinking I will have to look into that statement a bit more 🙂

What is your travel bucket list
